World Economic Forum Selects Accenture Strategy Managing Director as Young Global Leader

NEW YORK, Mar. 16, 2016 – The World Economic Forum has selected Sarah Daubenspeck, a managing director of Accenture (NYSE: ACN), as a Young Global Leader.

The Young Global Leaders (YGLs) are entrepreneurial leaders aged under 40 who are shaping the future of industry and society. The World Economic Forum selects a new class of YGLs every year from both the business and non-profit sectors.

Sarah Daubenspeck, one of 121 people to have become World Economic Forum YGL honorees for 2016, is a managing director in Accenture Strategy, where she is part of the leadership of the CFO and Enterprise Value practice. She supports the CFO function of large organizations, helping them put in place strategies to achieve digital driven efficiency and effectiveness improvement, better cost management, growth opportunities and competitiveness.

Sarah Daubenspeck, who is based in Cleveland, Ohio, intends to use her five year term as a Young Global Leader help drive the cause of education opportunities for women.

“In both mature and emerging economies, there is an urgent need to improve access to education for women and girls in order to boost growth as well as advance social progress,” said Sarah Daubenspeck, managing director, Accenture Strategy. “As a Young Global Leader, I hope to bring my experience and skills to mobilize the World Economic Forum’s extensive community of Young Global Leaders to encourage business and policy actions that support the cause of female education.”

“The World Economic Forum’s selection of Sarah Daubenspeck as a Young Global Leader means that Accenture Strategy now has two female YGLs actively addressing key global issues within one of the world’s most influential networks,” said Mark Knickrehm, group chief executive of Accenture Strategy. “By joining Jessica Long as a YGL, Sarah’s illustrates the depth and bread of Accenture Strategy’s leadership and reflects the diversity and appeal of Accenture Strategy as a great place to work.”
