IDC Manufacturing Insights defines the PLM market as an enterprise software application solution that brings together a number of activities required to develop, model, track, manage and control products and to manufacture, sell, maintain and retire them.
“Our research shows Accenture is differentiated through its ability to define a manufacturer’s architectural road map and strategy, as well as account management and customer support,” said Jeff Hojlo, IDC program director for Product Innovation Strategies and author of the report.
The report is titled IDC MarketScape: Worldwide Manufacturing PLM Systems Integrators and BPO Services 2015 Vendor Assessment (document #MI259496, October 2015). For this research the IDC MarketScape tool evaluated 10 players with annual revenue of at least $1 billion that offer systems integration, application development, maintenance and business process outsourcing services.
