NEW YORK; April 13, 2016 – Four early-stage technology start-ups received the inaugural Accenture Consumer Innovation Awards last night at the Millennial 20/20 Summit in London. The awards recognize early stage start-up businesses that play a major role in changing and improving the way people shop and engage with consumer goods brands and retail companies.
The Accenture Consumer Innovation Awards attracted more than 130 entries from across the globe. Sixteen shortlisted companies from France, Germany, Indonesia, the United Kingdom and the United States were invited to London to pitch to an exclusive panel of judges that included representatives from Argos, Balderton Capital, Dixons Carphone, PepsiCo, Specsavers, Tesco, and Fjord, design and innovation from Accenture Interactive. The winners in each category gain direct access to experts in their target customer sector, while the sectors gain exposure to cutting-edge technologies as they evolve.

US-based Yoobic has a mobile solution that helps brands and retailers monitor in-store execution by enabling data to flow instantly between point of sales and headquarters, giving the retailer feedback and control over in-store activities. UK-based Voxpopme specialises in capturing consumer views and opinions through video. Its powerful platform replaces the time-consuming analysis of video with an industry-leading analytics engine that transcribes the video, analyses for sentiment and then groups video snippets into key themes. With the inbuilt show-reel generator, researchers can amplify a consumer story and use it to create connections between brands and consumers. - Category: Make ME Digital on the Inside

The solution from UK- and US-based UserReplay enables businesses to discover the details about their customers’ digital experience by combining replays of customer journeys with sophisticated analytics that identifies customer pain points and monetizes their impact – - businesses to improve conversion rates, resolve technical and usability issues more quickly, recover lost customers and prevent fraud.

Indonesia-based Snapcart is building the largest purchased-based big data network in Asia by capturing receipts information from shoppers by rewarding them with cashbacks to take photos of their receipts. Working with more than 50 brands, Snapcart provides real-time analytics solutions and marketing engagement tools to give brands an in-depth understanding of, and personalized engagement directly with, their valued shoppers’ segments.
In addition to the award, winners receive:
- Access to a team of consumer goods and retail industry experts at Accenture, who will provide advice and consultation on how to improve select areas of their business and gain access to clients;
- Complimentary workspace at The Trampery for two months, which includes breakfast workshops with top consumer goods and retail entrepreneurs, seminars with corporate leaders in the sector, pitching sessions with investors, and brokered introductions to corporates worldwide;
- A three-month showcase spot in Accenture’s Innovation Hub, which is visited by many of the UK’s foremost consumer goods companies and retailers.
Held on the 13th and 14th April in Victoria House, London, the summit hosts more than 3,000 start-ups, brands, retailers and corporates. Attendees have the opportunity to hear from 150 world-class speakers, visit 40 experiential exhibitors, attend four live immersive showcases, and engage in a series of networking opportunities.
