ATLANTA; Nov. 10, 2010 – The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has selected Accenture as a prime contractor on its 10-year, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity CDC Information Management Services (CIMS) contract that will be used to acquire a full range of IT services and solutions that support CDC’s global public health initiatives.
Under CIMS, Accenture will compete for work in two areas – information management services and IT infrastructure services – with ceiling values of $3 billion and $1 billion, respectively, over the 10-year period.

Among the capabilities and solutions that Accenture may deliver to CDC include health IT, disease management, predictive analytics, health information exchanges, network systems design, information security services, and infrastructure managed services.
