Accenture Wins JDA Software Global Systems Integration Award
NEW YORK; May 23, 2011 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has been named by JDA Software Group, Inc., as the winner of its 2011 Global Systems Integrator Customer Co-Innovation Award. The award recognizes companies that improve customers’ return on investment and drive innovation when implementing JDA solutions. The award was presented at the JDA FOCUS 2011 event in Orlando, Fla.
Accenture won the award for its “Speed to Customer” offering, which helps retailers to identify the customer need and deliver the right product assortments faster than their competitors through improved supply chain performance. This was demonstrated through an initiative undertaken in Accenture’s global Supply Chain Center of Excellence in Barcelona, Spain and the Accenture Customer Innovation Network in Chicago, Illinois, and Shanghai, China, amongst other global locations. Together, Accenture and JDA have created a supply chain experience that allows retailers to gain a real-time view of how multiple actions across functions within a retail operation impact each other. Delivered in a workshop format, it also highlights the importance of collaboration and synchronization across an organization to maintain or increase customer service levels by minimizing markdowns and out-of-stock situations.
