Accenture Unveils Comprehensive Integrated Property and Casualty Software Suite

Integrated P&C suite helps carriers improve accuracy of claim handling and underwriting process, reduce implementation time and risk

NEW YORK; Nov 3, 2011 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has unveiled its integrated Property and Casualty (P&C) software suite to create one of the most comprehensive platforms available in the industry. The integrated suite brings together Accenture Claim Components and Accenture Duck Creek’s policy software, including the industry-leading rating and product configuration components.

The software enables insurers of all sizes to benefit from a flexible suite of P&C interoperable software modules to configure products, transact lines of business and process claims. Accenture’s integrated P&C software, based on a Microsoft .NET platform, enables insurers to reduce their implementation time and risk, and improve the accuracy of their claims handling and underwriting based upon more seamless information technology systems.

“The integration of our P&C software offers greater flexibility to our clients by providing a suite of software with modules that can be implemented individually or as part of a broader migration strategy,” said Michael A. Jackowski, global managing director of Accenture Software for P&C Insurance. “The Accenture P&C software suite is quickly evolving to bring the power of an integrated enterprise solution and the agility and scalable technology that will enable our customers to be successful in the marketplace.”

Accenture’s integrated P&C software suite includes policy administration, claims, and billing applications, delivering full-featured solutions for the three essential operations required by P&C insurance carriers. Other components of Accenture’s end-to-end P&C suite include rating, rules, product definition and configuration as well as product templates and sales enablement tools. Accenture’s vision is to provide insurers of all sizes a robust software platform – with multiple delivery models – capable of effectively supporting today’s demands yet flexible enough to meet the evolving needs of the market.

“The speed at which we’ve completed the integration confirms the benefits of our acquisition of Duck Creek and is a testament to the common architecture of our solutions,” said Colin Davies, managing director of Accenture Software. “It is a great accomplishment by our combined development and product management teams, and we will continue to enhance the suite and the richness of the functionality over the coming months.”
