Accenture to Improve Effectiveness and Efficiency of Recruiting for NXP Semiconductors Through Analytics, Gamification and Social Media Techniques

NEW YORK; Nov. 11, 2013 – NXP Semiconductors N.V. (NASDAQ: NXPI) has selected Accenture (NYSE: ACN) to manage and accelerate NXP’s recruitment process through the use of analytics, gamification and social media techniques. The work will provide NXP with faster access to the right candidates and the ability to hire them more quickly – a formidable challenge in the highly specialized semiconductor industry. Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Accenture will provide talent and human resources business process outsourcing services to manage all aspects of NXP’s recruitment in Asia Pacific and Europe including sourcing, attracting and hiring the most qualified candidates.

“It is becoming increasingly difficult to find and recruit the right talent at the right time,” said Ben Immink, NXP’s vice president of human resources. “NXP needs a streamlined program that provides clear insights into the status of recruiting processes, which Accenture has delivered for many other clients.”

With more than a decade of experience providing recruiting services. Accenture has a global network of more than 2,500 specialized recruiters. These professionals have access to extensive pools of potential candidates with the right profiles to serve the high-tech market. These talent pools are constantly being expanded to offer clients the top candidates faster.

“In the complex semiconductor industry, finding and recruiting highly qualified people is a major undertaking,” said Ellen van Essen, managing director in Accenture’s Electronics & High Tech group. “Taking advantage of our broad understanding of the semiconductor industry and recruitment, Accenture will help NXP address this challenge by using a more structured process to identify and attract the right talent swiftly and effectively.”
