New York; Aug. 17, 2016 – Growing up in a violent community in apartheid South Africa … swimming the English Channel to give back … inspiring women to follow their dreams in math and science. These are among the new video stories – produced by women filmmakers – for Accenture’s Being Greater Than campaign, which showcases the company’s female employees.
“Over the last several months, we have been featuring stories of our women around the world – sharing their personal and professional experiences, advice and life lessons – with people everywhere through videos, blogs and photos,” says Roxanne Taylor, Accenture’s chief marketing & communications officer.
“When we launched Being Greater Than, we worked with renowned storytelling project Dear World and videographer Robert Fogarty to help our women tell their stories,” she says. “Looking to the next phase of our campaign, we thought it would be a great idea to team with women filmmakers.”
To create the new video series, Accenture paired women directors at MOFILM, a global community of filmmakers, with its own employees.
“These filmmakers share our passion to tell candid stories that can inspire others to reach their fullest potential at work and in life,” explains Taylor.
The Being Greater Than campaign features the stories of Accenture women across generations and geographies – underscoring the company’s commitment to gender equality, including pay equality, and connecting the company’s more than 140,000 women. The stories bring to life the company’s inclusive and diverse culture; its efforts to ensure its people can succeed personally and professionally; and the impact Accenture people are having by giving back to their communities. Since debuting the campaign in November 2015, the company has published the stories of more than 100 people across 25 countries.
The two-minute videos, which will be released on a rolling basis, include the stories of:
