Accenture Signs Three-Year Application Outsourcing Agreement with XM Canada

TORONTO; March. 20, 2006 – XM Canada has engaged Accenture to provide application outsourcing services to support its customer care and business platform, which Accenture designed and built.

Under a previous agreement, Accenture designed, built and deployed the subscriber management, customer care and billing systems to support the launch of XM Canada’s business. The new application outsourcing agreement will enable XM Canada to focus on its core business of content delivery and subscriber acquisition.

“Accenture has significant experience helping companies grow their functionality to support a rapidly expanding customer base,” said Stephen Tapp, president and COO of XM Canada. “As Canada’s No. 1 satellite radio service provider, we are excited to be able to tap into Accenture’s skilled and flexible resources to help us bring the best in commercial-free music and entertainment to more Canadians from coast to coast.”

“Customers are adopting subscription-based satellite radio in Canada at a rate faster than any other communications service in history,” said Dennis Melnbardis, managing partner of Accenture’s Communications & High Tech group in Canada. “The applications to support this growth are vital to the future of XM Canada’s growing business. We are excited about the opportunity to continue our work with XM Canada in supporting their delivery of next-generation radio to the country.”
