Supports caseworker efficiency and single citizen applications for multiple assistance programs
ARLINGTON, Va; August 26, 2014 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has released version 6.1 of its Human Services Software Suite, enhancing its capabilities to support state agencies’ modernization of eligibility systems, integration across programs and compliance with federal requirements including the Affordable Care Act.
The Accenture Human Services Suite, including Accenture’s Public Service Platform, Citizen Self-Service Portal and Benefits Management System, was first launched in 2009 to help public sector agencies move to integrated approaches for eligibility determination and renewal of citizen services while controlling management and technology costs.
Version 6.1 features enhancements to the online applications for Medicaid, Temporary Assistance for Needy Families and the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. It also updates the portal for hospital workers and enhances “no-touch processing” functionality, the ability to process benefits applications without case worker involvement. New features include increased use of dynamic questions in the application process and provide citizens with greater flexibility to apply for multiple programs for each individual in a household. Built-in interfaces to the federal data services hub enable real-time eligibility determination.

The Human Services suite is regularly enhanced to enable human service agencies to more effectively modernize or replace legacy eligibility systems on flexible timelines. Agencies can deploy the complete suite to fully replace their legacy systems, or choose components as needed to upgrade their functionality in a phased manner. Health and human service agencies in Kansas, Iowa and Ohio are using the Accenture software to modernize their human services eligibility systems, deploying integrated tools, processes and self-service options to better address citizen needs.
