Accenture Recognized on G.I. Jobs 2014 List of Military Friendly Employers

NEW YORK; November 11, 2013 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has been named to G.I. Jobs’ 2014 Military Friendly Employers list. Companies on the list were selected based on the strength of their military recruiting efforts, percentage of new hires with prior military service, retention programs and support of employees in the National Guard and Reserve.

“Hiring veterans, as well as equipping them to find employment outside Accenture, is a top priority for us,” said John Campagnino, managing director – Global Talent Acquisition, Accenture. “Our military recruiting team mentors returning veterans and hosts job search workshops to help veterans transition into careers both with Accenture and with other companies.”

The G.I. Jobs recognition follows the launch of Accenture’s Military Career Coach online tool for veterans transitioning out of the military and seeking employment in the private sector. The tool offers instructional content and videos – featuring Accenture recruiters and content from LinkedIn – that cover areas such as career planning, resume writing, establishing an online professional identity, and interviewing.

Accenture also works with nonprofit partners, such as the 100,000 Jobs Mission, Institute for Veterans and Military Families, Hire Our Heroes and the Wounded Warrior Project, to help equip veterans with job search skills. Additionally, as part of its overall dedication to military veteran recruitment, Accenture has signed the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve’s Statement of Support.
