The Brno center will complement Accenture’s existing global delivery network of 44 delivery centers. In Central and Eastern Europe, Accenture already operates delivery centers in Bratislava, Bucharest, Prague, Riga and Warsaw. These centers provide a wide array of services in system integration, application outsourcing, infrastructure outsourcing and business process outsourcing. Accenture opened its Prague delivery center in 2001 and has been operating in the Czech Republic since 1991.
“We selected Brno for its proximity to our existing Prague and Bratislava delivery centers, as well as the region’s highly qualified workforce of talented information technology professionals who are fluent in multiple languages,” said Jozef Kokoška, managing director of Accenture’s Brno delivery center.
The Brno delivery center will provide technology services including application maintenance and development and system integration. The technologies offered will include SAP, CRM solutions, enterprise application integration (EAI), database technologies and the proprietary development of systems on the Java and .Net platforms. Professionals in the Brno center will provide services in multiple languages.
In the coming months, Accenture will employ and train IT professionals and recent graduates with information technology skills, a bachelor’s degree or higher and advanced knowledge of English or German.
“Leading companies such as Accenture have shown great interest in Brno recently,” said Tomáš Hruda, CEO of the Investment and Business Development Agency CzechInvest. “In the past five years, CzechInvest has worked on more than 10 projects involving IT firms willing to locate operations in Brno. Companies investing in the Czech Republic are primarily looking for top-class talent and expertise, and Accenture’s new center only serves to reaffirm this trend.”
