Accenture Names Pierre Nanterme Chief Leadership Officer

23-Year Accenture Veteran to Oversee Company’s Leadership Development Program

NEW YORK; June 13, 2006 – Accenture has named Pierre Nanterme chief leadership officer, effective immediately.

Mr. Nanterme, who also serves as Accenture’s country managing director in France, most recently was managing director of Accenture’s Financial Services operating group in Europe, Africa and Latin America.

In his new role, Mr. Nanterme, 46, has primary responsibility for Accenture’s leadership development program, which focuses on building the leadership capabilities of Accenture’s more than 11,000 senior executives and senior managers globally. He is also responsible for the development of and succession planning for the company’s top 200 executives, considered to be Accenture’s next generation of leaders. Mr. Nanterme succeeds Gill Rider, who retired from Accenture on April 30 to become Director General—Leadership and People Strategy in the cabinet of the U.K. government.

As chief leadership officer, Mr. Nanterme will serve as a member of Accenture’s Executive Leadership Team and report directly to Office of the CEO, which includes the chief executive officer and chief operating officer.

Mr. Nanterme has spent most of his 23-year career with Accenture in the Financial Services operating group. Prior to serving as managing director—Financial Services for Europe, Africa and Latin America, he was managing director of the company’s Financial Services Core Europe operating unit, and before that he served as global managing director for Accenture’s Insurance industry group. Other leadership positions Mr. Nanterme has held at Accenture include managing director of the Strategy practice in West Europe and managing director of the company’s client group in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands.

Mr. Nanterme joined Accenture in 1983 and became a partner in 1993. He graduated from ESSEC (Ecole Supérieure des Sciences Economiques et Commerciales) Business School in Paris.
