Accenture Names Penelope Prett Chief Information Officer, Succeeding Andrew Wilson

NEW YORK; Nov. 6, 2019 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has appointed Penelope Prett as chief information officer, effective Dec. 1, 2019. She succeeds Andrew Wilson, who will remain with the company through January 2020.

Prett is currently a senior managing director and global quality & risk lead for Accenture’s Resources operating group. Before joining Resources five years ago, she served in account leadership roles with some of the company’s largest clients in the Health & Public Service and Products operating groups, as well as key roles in sales, alliances and other areas in Accenture Technology. In her new role, Prett will lead Accenture’s CIO organization, which is responsible for global IT operations and driving the company’s digital agenda, including all of the infrastructure, services and applications that enable Accenture people to work anytime, anywhere to serve clients.

“I am delighted that Penelope will become our next chief information officer and lead our global CIO organization,” said Jo Deblaere, Accenture’s chief operating officer. “Over her career of more than 25 years with Accenture, she has excelled in a wide variety of client leadership and technology roles — including significant experience with many of our key ecosystem partners. Penelope actively supports our unwavering commitment to inclusion and diversity for our clients, people and communities.”

“At the same time, I want to thank Andrew for his innovation, drive and leadership over his exemplary 27-year career with Accenture. He has been an outstanding CIO and truly led us into the post-digital age, enabling our people to literally work in the New with IT systems that are now 95 percent cloud- and platform-based. He also served as Accenture’s Global LGBT Network Sponsor for five years. On behalf of Accenture, I wish Andrew all the best for the future.”
