Accenture Names Christian Marchetti Managing Director – Accenture HR Services

NEW YORK; Sept. 6, 2005 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) today announced that Christian Marchetti has been named managing director of Accenture HR Services, the company’s human resources (HR) outsourcing business. Mr. Marchetti succeeds David Clinton, who assumes a senior client-facing role in Accenture’s Financial Services Operating Group.

In addition to managing Accenture HR Services, Mr. Marchetti is responsible for setting its strategic course and working with Accenture’s Outsourcing & Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) leadership team to shape the direction of this expanding business. Accenture HR Services, established in 2002, provides outsourced HR solutions to more than 15 clients worldwide through 13 delivery centers in 9 countries.

Mr. Marchetti, 44, is based in France. Until recently, he was a client partner in Accenture’s Resources Operating Group. During his 20-year career at Accenture, he has played a leading role in growing Accenture’s outsourcing business in Western Europe and has developed expertise in both the sales and delivery of finance and accounting and HR outsourcing. Mr. Marchetti reports to Joellin Comerford, Accenture’s group chief executive – Outsourcing & BPO.

“Christian is an accomplished executive, with a proven track record of helping clients leverage outsourcing solutions to improve business performance,“ said Ms. Comerford. “His hands-on experiences, coupled with his knowledge of the growing European market, make him an ideal professional to further extend Accenture’s leadership in HR outsourcing and the overall BPO market. We are also pleased that David Clinton will be focusing on client-relationships, the heart-blood of our business and success."

Mr. Marchetti said, “Clients are increasingly demanding solutions that not only cut operational costs and improve performance but also capitalize upon the synergies that exist across multiple business functions. I look forward to exploring new ways to leverage Accenture’s global delivery capability to deliver greater benefits to our clients and to help create new services that bridge multiple processes.”

Mr. Marchetti holds a degree in Statistical Engineering and Economics from Ecole Nationale de la Statistique et de l’Administration Economique. He joined Accenture in 1986 and became a partner in 2000.
