Accenture Named Leader by KLAS Research for ICD-10 Consulting Services for Healthcare Providers

CHICAGO; Feb. 05, 2015 – Accenture (NYSE:ACN) was named by KLAS Research as the category leader in consulting services for transitioning to ICD-10 diagnostic codes and standards. The 2014 Best in KLAS Awards rated Accenture as the top-performing vendor, with a score of 92.6, based on an industry ranking of 11 professional services firms.

Health organizations are required by a federal mandate to transition to a new set of diagnostic codes, called the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), which are used to classify medical procedures and diagnostic properties in records and reimbursement claims.

“Accenture is honored to receive recognition that conveys the success of our clients as they transition to ICD-10 and are positioned for growth in a new era,” said Kaveh Safavi M.D. J.D., global managing director for Accenture. “As doctors, hospitals and insurers transition to the ICD-10 standards, they’ll need to think beyond the conversion deadline and recognize its integral role to technology, such as revenue cycle management, as well as sustaining organizational performance.”
