“As we reshape our business to better respond to our clients’ growing needs for more innovation and agility, we have brought many of our practices together in one organization to unleash the transformational talent that was previously dispersed across Accenture,” said Annette Rippert, group chief executive, Accenture Strategy & Consulting. “Our positioning as a Leader in this IDC MarketScape reflects how we deepened our industry and functional programs, expanded cross-industry connections, and infused a full spectrum of digital capabilities – including applied intelligence, data, innovation and human-centered design capabilities – across all of our offerings to help clients capitalize on disruption and position for growth.”

Gard Little, vice president of Global Services Markets and Trends for IDC said: “Accenture continues to be recognized by its customers as a leader in providing business consulting services. Given its deep industry knowledge and functional competence, Accenture is well-positioned to continue to help its clients address complex, mission-critical issues by working closely with C-suite executives to help steer and shape their innovation and transformation agendas.”

The scope of the four reports includes advisory and implementation services related to management issues across three main areas: strategy consulting; operational improvement consulting; and change and organization consulting. Clients globally rated their providers, in aggregate, best at helping them with the following business priorities: developing digital products and services, transforming critical processes, and adapting to change and becoming more agile.

“Companies are experiencing unprecedented disruption. The challenges – and opportunities – presented by COVID-19 demand we reimagine our businesses and take action, not only to weather this storm, but to emerge stronger. We are excited to work with leaders embracing this moment to innovate and accelerate their digital capabilities, and to transform and grow their businesses through the power of data, analytics and technology,” said Kathleen O’Reilly, who leads Accenture Strategy. “Across industries, from strategy to operations, we are thrilled to see this recognition of Accenture’s diverse talented teams finding innovative ways to create value for our clients.”
