Accenture Interactive Named a Leader in Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Global Marketing Agencies

NEW YORK; May 13, 2019 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has been named a Leader in Gartner’s 2019 “Magic Quadrant for Global Marketing Agencies,”[1] marking the second consecutive year that its Experience Agency, Accenture Interactive, has been recognized as a Leader in the global research and advisory firm’s annual assessment of global marketing agencies.

According to Gartner, to be considered for inclusion, agencies must “…demonstrate comprehensive capabilities in digital transformation initiatives, marketing services, creative and content services, technology implementation, innovation as a service (IaaS), digital commerce capabilities, and data and analytics. They also need to exhibit a close alignment with the cultures and marketing needs of global brands, whose leaders seek those specific competencies when choosing a marketing service partner.”

Brian Whipple, global CEO of Accenture Interactive, said, “As business leaders today drive digital transformation within their organizations, they need a new type of partner. As the Experience Agency, we have built Accenture Interactive from the ground up to meet clients’ evolving needs, help them create transformative experiences — and empower them to own ‘experience’ from start to finish. Being named a Leader by Gartner further validates our differentiated service model that combines the capabilities of business consultancy, creative agency and technology powerhouse to enable powerful digital transformation for global brands.”

According to Gartner, “Leaders possess deep, broad capabilities across all competencies, most notably related to strategic services (which include business strategy and digital business transformation skills). Leaders implement comprehensive, effective solutions that leverage sizable investments in creative talent and marketing technology. They invest their own R&D dollars to set market direction. As a result, Leaders are the providers to watch in the ongoing evolution and transformation of marketing in a digital world.”

Additionally, “Leaders maintain a viable business, regardless of the global economy. Leaders extend their client relationships far beyond marketing promotions, often appearing on competitive bids outside their primary sector (for example, management consulting, product ideation and product development requests for quotations). Leaders help their clients develop digital marketing platforms designed for systemic growth and scale; they do so by harnessing their own significant expertise implementing digital marketing programs driven by data and analytics.”

The Gartner 2019 “Magic Quadrant for Global Marketing Agencies” is intended to guide the selection process of marketing leaders seeking a global agency for strategies and solutions across the customer journey. For the report, Gartner evaluated 20 service providers based on completeness of vision and ability to execute. Authors Jay Wilson, Ewan McIntrye, Elizabeth Shaw and Laurel Erikson wrote, “In addition to evaluating how each global agency meets current marketer needs, we assess their ability to drive client growth by interpreting marketplace trends. We also look at their ability to deliver transformational technologies or approaches that address marketers’ future needs.”
