Accenture Document Composer to Safeguard and Simplify Employee Correspondence at Avast Software

NEW YORK; Nov. 29, 2016 – Avast Software, a leader in digital security products for consumers and businesses, is working with Accenture (NYSE: ACN) to improve its HR document generation capabilities. Avast Software will be using the Accenture Document Composer software on SAP HANA® Cloud Platform to extend the capabilities of document generation, updates and management across the SAP® SuccessFactors® Employee Central solution.

Following the acquisition of AVG Technologies, Avast Software found that the existing HR document generation was unable to meet its new business requirements. The acquisition created changes in the company’s employee base that placed extra demands on the HR function. “An increase in our staffing levels and locations following the acquisition meant that we needed a flexible tool that could help us create employment contracts and other employee-related documents more quickly and easily,” said Steven Scheers, Chief Human Resources Officer at Avast. “Accenture Document Composer offers a straightforward means to build and manage templates or merge data from SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central, and was part of a portfolio of solutions that we knew and trusted.”

Announced in August, Accenture Document Composer is the latest in a series of groundbreaking solutions built on SAP HANA Cloud Platform. It has reporting capabilities that offer insights into key performance indicators, such as template usage or document volumes. “For organizations such as Avast Software who are focused on raising the level of employee communication, it is important that they can communicate the right information at the right time to their employees,” said Mike Detwiler, senior managing director, Accenture Products and Platforms. “Accenture Document Composer not only offers extended text editing capabilities and intelligent template preselection, but can secure the confidentiality and specific authorizations that simplify document generation and distribution.”

“At SAP SuccessFactors, we understand that no one company will ever own all innovation in the cloud,” said Mike Ettling, president of SAP SuccessFactors. “We recently introduced our new SAP App Center so that innovative partners like Accenture can easily deliver extensions built on our platform, and integrated to our solutions, to help delight customers and improve business processes. We believe that the power of many benefits clients in the journey to HR transformation.”
