Accenture Selected by Dutch Agency of Social Affairs to Maintain IT System

THE HAGUE, Netherlands; Oct. 11, 2012 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has announced a one-year contract to provide IT services to the Dutch Agency of Social Affairs (Agentschap SZW), which falls under the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment.

The contract is to provide application outsourcing for a Filenet system called ‘DIANE’ that Accenture implemented for the agency under a previous contract. The system is central to the Dutch government’s disbursal of subsidies and grants of approximately 800 million euros per year. The agency uses the system to administer subsidies relating to socio-economic policy, particularly employment and income-support programs, financed by the European Union as well as some nationally financed programs.

“We are pleased and honored to have this opportunity to continue helping ensure high levels of reliability and efficiency for a technology system that administers a wide range of subsidies and grants that are important to many Dutch citizens,” said Gerco Landman of Accenture’s Health & Public Service practice in The Netherlands.
