Accenture Selects Baltimore-Based Global Commerce & Information as “Small Business of the Year”

ARLINGTON, Va.; Feb. 11, 2015 – Accenture Federal Services has selected Global Commerce & Information (Global CI) as the recipient of its second annual “Small Business of the Year” award. The Baltimore-based company won the award for its outstanding work on the Social Security Administration’s (SSA) Information Technology Support Services Contract (ITSSC).

Accenture is supporting the research and implementation of emerging technology applications designed to improve SSA’s service delivery to current and future beneficiaries and retirees. The ITSSC allows the SSA to purchase a wide range of IT systems development and modernization services.

As Accenture’s subcontractor on this project, Global CI plays an integral role in the successful delivery of services related to health IT policy, applications systems and technology and capability modernization assessments, analyzing medical case data used to process claims. This analysis will increase efficiency in claims processing.
