ARLINGTON, Va.; Mar. 28, 2017 – Accenture Federal Services has been awarded a five-year, $232 million contract to help the U.S. Marshals Service (USMS) implement its Mission Modernization Program, which will provide mobile capabilities and real-time decision-making with an enterprise data solution to improve data accessibility through an intuitive, user-centered design.
The new IT system that Accenture will deploy under the contract, awarded by the General Services Administration Federal Systems Integration and Management Center, will provide mobile capabilities and enhance real-time decision-making at USMS. Based on software from Pegasystems Inc., the software company empowering customer engagement at the world’s leading enterprises, the system will be configured with an emphasis on user experience and digital design. Accenture will also develop an enterprise data solution to improve data accessibility through an intuitive, user-centered design.
The USMS serves critical law enforcement functions including investigations, prisoner operations and judicial security. A chief goal of the Mission Modernization Program is to create efficiencies by automating re-engineered business processes, giving operational staff more time to focus on their mission.
