Accenture and Vignette Form Strategic Alliance to Help Clients Build Successful Customer Focused Internet Businesses

Phoenix, AZ, April 10, 2000 - Accenture, a leading global management and technology consulting firm, and Vignette Corporation (Nasdaq:VIGN), the leading supplier of eBusiness applications for building businesses online, today announced a long-term global strategic alliance designed to help clients build successful online businesses that are responsive to customer requirements.

Through the alliance, Accenture and Vignette expect to develop and jointly market services and solutions that will allow clients to more effectively interface with their customers and integrate their online and off-line businesses. The alliance will support Fortune 500 and "dot com" companies in their quest to achieve market leadership -providing services designed to align their on-line business with overall corporate strategies, and creating technical solutions which are flexible and scalable to meet the changing needs of new, on-line businesses and processes.
