Alliance Signs 100th Joint Client, Underscoring Leadership in the Electronic Marketplace

NEW YORK and SAN MATEO, California, February 10, 2000 -- Accenture, a leading global management and technology consultancy, and Siebel Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: SEBL), the world’s leading provider of eBusiness applications software, recently signed their 100th joint client -- DuPont Pharmaceuticals Company.

"We selected Accenture and Siebel Systems because of their reputation for delivering solutions that generate improved customer service and bottom-line results," said Arthur C. Chisholm, Chief Information Officer of DuPont Pharmaceuticals Company.

By signing their 100th joint client, Accenture and Siebel Systems fortified their leadership position in providing solutions that allow businesses to leverage technology to acquire, develop, and retain customers in the increasingly complex electronic marketplace.

"The success of the Accenture and Siebel Systems alliance has been its unwavering focus on helping clients build lasting customer relationships, which drives profitable growth and creates market equity," said Joe W. Forehand, Managing Partner and CEO of Accenture. "Our growing client roster is validation of our joint commitment."

Siebel, Chairman and CEO of Siebel Systems.

Transforming Customer Service: Cable & Wireless North America Cable & Wireless, a leader in the fast-growing market for Internet and data services for business customers, is among Accenture and Siebel Systems’ 100 clients. The solution provides better information, making it easier for the sales force to tailor customer offerings. It also reduces time-consuming administrative activities.

"Our sales people will be better equipped, our customers will receive more personal attention, and we will realize increases in our revenues as a result," said Tom Sterbenc, senior vice president of Sales, Cable & Wireless North America.

The solution is part of a broad operational change at Cable & Wireless. "We are rebuilding our operations to be more responsive to our customers, and Siebel is a cornerstone of our strategy," said Gian Dilawari, vice president of Information Technology, Cable & Wireless North America.
