Accenture Recognized for Innovation Across Microsoft’s Global Procurement with Supplier Partnership of the Year Award

NEW YORK; April 3, 2018 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has been recognized with the Supplier Partnership of the Year Award at the ProcureCon Indirect EPIC Awards 2018, which celebrate the most innovative, dynamic and accomplished leaders in the procurement industry, for its work with Microsoft.

In partnership with Avanade, Accenture was recognized for modernizing Microsoft’s global procurement operations, which enabled Microsoft to significantly increase business agility and provide dynamic and automated solutions in their supplier ecosystem. The previous cycle time to onboard new suppliers was hindering the speed of business, impacting both the top and bottom line. Microsoft needed a simple, robust solution that could remove complexity and scale as quickly as possible.

“Accenture has digitally transformed Microsoft’s supplier vetting and onboarding process and improved our user experience with suppliers,” said Erica Tripard, group procurement operations manager at Microsoft. “Leveraging Microsoft’s Dynamics technology and its deep knowledge of procurement services, Accenture helped us achieve 95 percent automation of new supplier qualifications and reduce cycle time from three weeks to one day.”
