Accenture Expands Presence in Tennessee with New Technology Delivery Center in Nashville to Better Serve Clients, Recruit Local Talent
Recruiting focused on college graduates, U.S. military veterans with relevant technology skills
NASHVILLE, TN; June 6, 2016 – Accenture (NYSE:ACN) has opened the doors of a new technology delivery center in Nashville to offer expanded technical delivery capabilities for local and global clients, and to tap into the area’s growing pool of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) talent, including U.S. military veterans. Nashville is Accenture’s second Tennessee location, having already established a Knoxville office in 2013.
With an initial staff of 25 people and plans to grow to 250 or more, the delivery center will serve clients across industries with a preliminary focus on the public sector, including state and local government, as well as financial services, hospitality and healthcare.
Establishing the new delivery center in Nashville is recognition that Tennessee has become a top location for technology graduates. Accenture has established working relationships with local and state universities, and has engaged in other recruitment activities to identify prospective candidates interested in pursuing STEM-related careers. Already, more than 25 percent of recruits hired by Accenture in the Nashville location are military veterans.
“Our investment in Nashville and plans for future expansion reflects our continued commitment to better serve our clients, locally and globally,” said Julie Sweet, Accenture group chief executive – North America. “We are excited to recruit top technology talent from Nashville and beyond, as well as to add to the economic growth and development of the region and in Tennessee.”
The Nashville location is part of the Accenture Global Delivery Network of more than 50 centers around the world that provide comprehensive management consulting, technology, and business process outsourcing services, including application management, application testing, and application development on leading technology platforms and custom systems. “There is a wealth of technology talent in Nashville and we are pleased to offer job seekers the opportunity to grow their careers with Accenture,” said Beth Wright, Accenture managing director in Nashville. “As a local resident whose own career started here over two decades ago, I am excited to help Accenture grow our relationships in the community to fuel the diversity of our talent pool.
