Southern Trust Selects Accenture to Support Growth Initiatives
Insurer chooses Accenture’s software to modernize core insurance policy system and improve processes to support business expansion
NEW YORK; Nov. 14, 2012 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) announced today that Southern Trust has selected Accenture Duck Creek Policy Administration and Billing software as its core commercial lines rating, policy processing and billing system. The software suite will enable Southern Trust to more efficiently and profitably manage their current book of business, along with positioning them for growth. Southern Trust writes commercial lines in Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.
Southern Trust will also use Accenture Duck Creek Templates, a pre-configured insurance product deployment solution for Insurance Services Office (ISO) based commercial lines and National Council on Compensation Insurance (NCCI) based workers’ compensation products. The templates are designed to support rapid implementation and ongoing maintenance of these lines of business with lower cost and risk.
“We need a modern technology system with a track record of fast, successful implementations to support both our current needs and our future expansion roadmap,” said Eric Russett, Vice President, Southern Trust. “With Accenture Duck Creek software, we’ll be able to more easily support and configure all of our commercial lines of business on a single platform while also benefiting from a future-proof architecture that positions us for growth.”

Jackowski, global managing director of Accenture Software for P&C insurance. “Their mission is to provide best-in-class service to their agents and customers, and they understand that our software enables streamlined and efficient policy and billing processing, as well as increased service levels.”
