Accenture Ranks Number 12 on DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity® List

NEW YORK; April 25, 2012 – Accenture has been named to the 2012 DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list, rising to number 12, up from number 23 last year. This marks Accenture’s sixth consecutive year on the DiversityInc Top 50 list and its fourth consecutive year in the Top 25.

DiversityInc, the leading publication on diversity and business, annually recognizes companies that exemplify meaningful diversity management through their corporate practice. To qualify for the DiversityInc Top 50 Companies for Diversity list, participating companies must have more than 1,000 employees and complete a detailed questionnaire about the company’s policies, diversity initiatives and workforce demographics.

“Jumping 11 spots this year, Accenture has shown consistent progress, especially with its talent-development programs and resource groups,” said DiversityInc CEO, Luke Visconti. “Responsibility for the company’s global and domestic diversity efforts begins with its most senior leaders, who lead the effort to embed diversity and inclusion into Accenture’s culture.”

DiversityInc also named Accenture as a 2012 Top 10 Company for both Global Diversity and Supplier Diversity.

According to DiversityInc, Accenture has demonstrated strength in the four areas measured: CEO Commitment, Human Capital, Corporate and Organizational Communications, and Supplier Diversity.

“Inclusion and diversity is central to Accenture and is part of our company’s core values,” said Nellie Borrero, managing director of Inclusion & Diversity at Accenture. “Our company, our people and our clients benefit from diverse global teams with different backgrounds and experiences. From recruiting to training, from leadership development to client service, inclusion is part of how Accenture functions every day.”
