Accenture Earns a Leader Position for Salesforce.com Implementation by Independent Research Firm

NEW YORK; May 26, 2011 – Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has been named a leader in the implementation of salesforce.com by Forrester Research Inc.

Forrester, a leading industry analyst firm, evaluated a total of 11 companies, placing Accenture among the leaders. The ranking was contained in a May 2011 independent report titled, “The Forrester Wave™ Salesforce.com Implementation, Q2 2011”.

“We focused our evaluation on the needs of larger, more complex salesforce.com deployments, often global in scope, large in scale, or complex in terms of integrations and customization,” said a portion of the report. “This focus was a significant determinant of the results of the analysis.”

Forrester reached its findings through a “comprehensive set of criteria” that, among other things, included conducting interviews and briefings with the companies it evaluated, and then measuring the companies against 46 levels of capability across three categories – current offering, strategy, and market presence. Accenture received top marks in the “current offering” and “market presence” categories.

“Accenture is a leader in the (salesforce.com) implementation space due to the size of its practice and the provider’s substantial depth of experience in larger, complex projects,” said a portion of the report.

“Accenture’s leader position in the Forrester Wave for salesforce.com implementations underlines its industry leadership and innovation in complex enterprise salesforce.com engagements,” said George Hu, executive vice president of platform, marketing and operations, salesforce.com. “Accenture is a global strategic partner with whom we share a common vision for customer success driven by social, mobile and open cloud computing.”

Salesforce.com is an enterprise cloud computing company that distributes business software on a subscription basis.

“With a seven-year track record of delivering successful enterprise-scale, salesforce.com-based solutions, Accenture is proud to be recognized by Forrester as a leader in this space,” said Kevin Campbell, group chief executive, technology growth platform, Accenture. “We continue to focus on helping our clients achieve significant business value in the cloud with salesforce.com by applying our deep industry and business process knowledge and agile delivery approach.”
