BP Taps Accenture to Provide SAP Applications Development Services

LONDON and NEW YORK; Aug. 26, 2009 -- BP has awarded Accenture (NYSE:ACN) a contract to provide BP with information technology application development services. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Accenture will help BP simplify, standardize and consolidate its IT software applications to meet BP’s goals of achieving efficiency throughout the organization and to manage IT costs. Under the agreement, Accenture will be BP’s strategic service provider for its SAP development work.
