Vodafone Appoints Accenture to Assist in the Implementation of a Global ERP System

LONDON; April 17, 2007 – Vodafone and Accenture (NYSE: ACN) have signed a multi-year agreement under which Accenture will support Vodafone in the development and implementation of a single, global enterprise resource planning (ERP) system to improve the management of information.

Accenture will help to enhance the efficiency of Vodafone’s finance, supply chain and human resource capabilities across 17 of its operating companies as well as other group functions. The implementation is scheduled to run for around three years. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Vodafone Group Chief Financial Officer Andy Halford said, “Accenture’s experience and expertise in this area will help ensure that the new ERP system delivers a range of benefits to Vodafone including greater efficiencies across a number of business functions, as well as enhanced business agility. We look forward to working with Accenture on this initiative.”

As its preferred systems integration supplier on this project, Accenture will help Vodafone to improve efficiencies by enhancing the management of information as well as through the standardization and centralization of critical business processes.
