Telution and Accenture’s Launch-Now Deliver a Complete OSS and ILEC Interconnection for EZ Talk Communications

CHICAGO, Feb. 5, 2002 - Telution, Inc., a provider of integrated operations support systems (OSS) for the ordering, delivery, support, and billing of communication services, and Accenture announced today successful integration and implementation of a complete Operations Support System (OSS) and Incumbent Local Exchange Carrier (ILEC) interconnection gateway for EZ Talk Communications. Telution teamed with Accenture’s Launch-NowSM to deliver an end-to-end OSS solution that provides EZ Talk Communications an ILEC interconnection designed specifically for convergent service providers (CSPs) that resell or lease communication services from ILECs.

By combining the strengths of Telution’s COMX™ OSS software suite with Launch-Now’s leading ILEC gateway service, EZ Talk Communications is now able to rely on a tightly integrated OSS solution that delivers complete lifecycle service management and flow-through provisioning. The results can include customer activation at the ILEC, increased revenues, improved order performance, and decreased operating expenses for EZ Talk.

“The EZ Talk implementation illustrates the intrinsic value of the combined Telution and Launch-Now solution,” said Kent Steffen, president and CEO of Telution. “This combined service now means CSPs, like EZ Talk, are better able to automate the critical systems that generate orders, activate service and support customers, especially as these systems relate to interfacing with the ILECs.”

At EZ Talk, Telution’s COMX, a pre-integrated suite of customer care, order management and billing applications, was combined with Launch-Now’s Interconnect Exchange, an ILEC gateway and application management service. The combined offering provided EZ Talk with intuitive order entry, automated flow-through order management and tracking, intelligent electronic bonding with ILECs, and a common interface with critical service delivery partners. Launch-Now also provided service to manage order reselling, order fallout, and business rule updates on behalf of the CSP.

“The Telution / Launch-Now solution leverages the deep industry experience of both companies to enable a cost effective solution that is easily consumable for CSPs,” said James Drayer, Accenture managing partner for Launch-Now. “The results speak for themselves: Customers like EZ Talk can decrease ordering costs, reduced service processing timeframes, and help to future-proof their systems against changes in the ordering processes with the ILEC.”

“Telution and Launch-Now are a perfect fit for our business model,” said OJ Armstrong, COO of EZ Talk. “Because we are focused on enabling any customer to easily obtain communications services, we have a unique set of OSS requirements. We scoured the market and the combined Telution / Launch-Now solution was able to meet our criteria for operational flexibility and functionality. We needed a system to drive our aggressive growth plans and support the high level of service that we commit to our customers.”
