Accenture Positioned in “Leaders” Quadrant for Supply Chain Management Service Providers by Top Analyst Firm

NEW YORK; Jan. 19, 2007 – Accenture has been positioned in the “leaders” quadrant in Gartner Inc.’s recent assessment of supply chain management service providers in North America.

In the report, “Magic Quadrant for North American SCM Consulting and Integration Service Providers,”[1] Gartner evaluated 14 service providers across North America on their ability to execute and their completeness of vision.

According to Gartner, "leaders" are vendors that are performing well, have a clear vision of market direction and are actively building competencies to sustain their leadership position in the market.

Gartner evaluated the service providers based on "Ability to Execute," which measures product/service, overall viability, sales execution/pricing, market responsiveness and track record, marketing execution, customer experience and operations and “Completeness of Vision” which measures market understanding, market strategy, sales strategy, offering strategy, business model, vertical/industry strength, innovation and geographic strategy.Client feedback is one of Gartner’s most critical measures of a provider’s supply chain practice.

“We strive to help our clients develop high-performing supply chains based on operational strategies that enable profitable growth in existing and new markets,” said Pat Byrne, managing director of Accenture’s Supply Chain Management practice. “We are pleased to receive this recognition from Gartner and from our clients.”
