Accenture Named Diversity Initiative Achievement Winner by National Association of Minority and Women-Owned Law Firms

NEW YORK; Nov. 7, 2007 -- Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has been named, for the second time in three years, the Annual Diversity Initiative Achievement Award winner by the National Association of Minority and Women-Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF). Accenture received the award today at NAMWOLF’s Annual Meeting and Law Firm Expo in New York City.

The Annual Diversity Initiative Achievement Award recognizes one of NAMWOLF’s outstanding corporate partners that is working to spend at least 5 percent of its outside counsel budget on women- and minority-owned law firms. Accenture has participated in the program since its inception three years ago and, in 2005, was NAMWOLF’s first award recipient.

"Not only has Accenture done an outstanding job in hiring and forming long-lasting relationships with law firms owned and run by women and minorities, but the company has also been a powerful vocal advocate for our cause and those of other organizations, championing a more diverse corporate America throughout the years," said Yolanda Coly, managing director of NAMWOLF.

Joel Stern, Accenture’s associate general counsel and director of the company’s legal services in the Americas, said, "Accenture is constantly looking for new ways to create an inclusive culture, which we believe strengthens our ability to deliver innovative solutions to our clients. By providing an efficient way to connect with a talented pool of minority- and women-owned law firms throughout the nation, NAMWOLF is a powerful tool to help us accelerate our journey."
