Accenture and Nokia Team Up to Build Wireless Solutions for Corporate Customers Worldwide

LONDON and HELSINKI, November 1, 2000 - Accenture and Nokia today announced a global co- operation agreement aimed at helping corporations and service providers build their own Wireless Application Protocol (WAP)-based solutions. Accenture is a leading global management and technology consultancy. Nokia is the world leader in mobile communications.
As part of this initiative, Accenture and Nokia will provide a packaged offering of world-class, proven wireless technologies and integration know-how to ensure rapid results for Global 2000 corporations and dot-coms companies who are incorporating wireless capabilities into their business functions. Additionally, both firms will dedicate personnel, software, training, knowledge and financial resources to develop intra- and inter-enterprise wireless solutions for their corporate clients. Nokia will also install the Nokia Activ Server in Accenture’s global network of Internet Centers of Excellence and Business Launch Centres making it available to Accenture’s clients.
