Accenture Revs Up for 2006 Formula One Season by Renewing its Relationship with WilliamsF1 Team

NEW YORK; March 10, 2006 – Accenture will extend its long-time sponsorship of the WilliamsF1 Team, one of Formula One’s leading racing teams, for three more years -- from 2006 to 2008.

“We have enjoyed a long and fruitful relationship with the WilliamsF1 Team over the past 11 years,” said James E. Murphy, Accenture’s chief marketing & communications officer. “The sponsorship has been an excellent platform for Accenture, providing a first-class program for entertaining clients, alliance partners, prospective clients and stakeholders at 18 race events in 15 countries and on four continents. We are additionally pleased to continue our partnership by providing our consulting services to the WilliamsF1 Team in support of their business and racing activities. We are very pleased to be renewing our sponsorship for another three years.”

Accenture has been a sponsor and business partner of the WilliamsF1 Team since 1995, using its management consulting and information technology expertise to help WilliamsF1 keep its business strong and the race team as competitive as possible in the Formula One World Championship.

Murphy said the sponsorship helps increase the value of the Accenture brand by providing opportunities to connect directly to clients and business leaders around the world. It also has allowed Accenture to work closely with WilliamsF1 on a variety of projects, including managing the relocation of its team; helping develop a significantly expanded and improved design, test and production facility; advising the company on its business strategy; and working on new product development.

WilliamsF1 Team Principal, Frank Williams, said, “Apart from being a professional and dedicated sponsor, Accenture has worked closely with us for more than a decade on a number of different projects, all aimed at helping equip the WilliamsF1 Team to compete at the front of the field.”
