Accenture Integrates Information Technology and Operational Support Systems for Starz Entertainment Group's Digital Content Delivery Service - Vongo

NEW YORK; April 24, 2006– Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has integrated information technology and operational systems to support of the recent Beta launch of Vongo, Starz Entertainment Group’s (“SEG”) new video download application and download service.

Launched in January 2006, Vongo provides subscribers with access to more than 1,500 movie and video selections over the Internet for playback on Windows-based PCs, laptops, and select portable media devices. Accenture has worked with Starz Entertainment Group since March 2005 to identify, evaluate and integrate a range of back-office and information technology systems to support the roll out of SEG’s new digital content distribution platform. Accenture also designed and built the Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) framework and content management applications that support the Vongo service

“Accenture’s broad range of experience in technology, emerging digital media markets, digital communications, and customer relationship management made it the right choice,” said Bob Greene, senior vice president, advanced services for SEG. “The integration of the various business support solutions has enabled us to bring new opportunities to our partners and greater choice and value to our subscribers. Accenture played an important role in the development of Vongo.”

Accenture will provide ongoing assistance to Vongo by managing and aligning technology resources and solutions and performing integration work across systems that range from graphical-user-interfaces to a digital rights management platform.

“The proliferation of broadband Internet connections, a growing variety of portable media devices and rising comfort levels with digital rights management tools present an opportunity for entertainment companies such as Starz Entertainment Group to re-purpose the content they’ve amassed for emerging markets,” said Salman Wakil, a partner in Accenture’s Communications & High Tech operating group. “We’ve been privileged to help SEG expand its distribution-channel breadth and business potential.”
