DSV, Denmark's Largest Transport Group, to Outsource its IT Operations and Development to Accenture

Outsourcing project covers 30 European countries

COPENHAGEN, Denmark; April 19 , 2004 – DSV Group, Denmark’s largest transport group and one of Northern Europe’s largest transport and logistics services companies, has signed an agreement to outsource its IT operations and systems development functions to Accenture. The agreement, which covers 30 countries in Europe, aims at optimizing DSV Group’s business processes.

As part of the agreement, 72 employees from DSV’s IT departments will transfer to Accenture. Additional terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Through the arrangement with Accenture, DSV expects to reduce its IT costs significantly and to enhance the security of its current IT operations considerably. The initiative supports DSV’s strategy to concentrate on its core competences as a leading international provider of transport solutions and logistics.
