Accenture Statement Regarding German Federal Labor Agency Project
Feb. 27, 2004 – Some news media in Germany today reported false, unfounded and misleading information about Accenture in connection with the Federal Labor Agency’s Virtual Job Market project. Here are the facts:
- Reports of misconduct regarding the project are false and totally without merit. An anonymous letter was sent to our client claiming misconduct. The letter is not credible. Accenture will cooperate with any and all reviews of this project; however we are confident that all claims of misconduct are baseless.
- The contract to develop the Virtual Job Market was awarded in compliance with EU-wide bid-for-tender guidelines and complies with German and European directives for contract awards. The work performed was executed within the scope of a master agreement. All services provided were performed with the approval of the Federal Labor Agency and under its close supervision.
- The first phase of the Virtual Job Market project was launched on Dec. 1, 2003, on-time and in compliance with the budget agreed upon with the client. System accessibility is 99.85 percent.
- Throughout the entire project, we have maintained close coordination with our client, the Federal Labor Agency, working under its supervision, and all modifications to our agreement were made with the agency’s approval.
