Accenture Expands Global Delivery Center Network with New Facility in China
Dalian Center Extends Worldwide Capability to Deliver Technology and Outsourcing Solutions to Clients
DALIAN, China, March 13, 2003 – Accenture today announced an expansion of its global network of delivery centers with the opening of a facility in China, through which the company will deliver to clients a variety of technology services, including applications development and maintenance, systems integration, software reengineering and business process outsourcing.
Situated in Dalian, a city of 5.5 million people in northeastern China, the new facility will primarily serve companies operating or based in the Chinese and Japanese markets. The center is an integral component of Accenture’s global network of more than 40 delivery centers, which enables the company to bring together the right mix of people, skills and capabilities to quickly meet client needs virtually anywhere in the world.

The Dalian delivery center is staffed principally with software engineers who have expertise in UNIX, Microsoft, and packaged applications such as SAP, Peoplesoft, Oracle, and Siebel. Professionals in the center will focus first on applications development and management, and will support client operations that require proficiency in Japanese, Chinese and English-language skills.
The new center further extends Accenture’s significant history in China. The company has maintained operations in China for over 10 years and employs more than 500 people in offices in Beijing, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Taipei - and now Dalian.
