Accenture Awarded 10-Year Outsourcing Contract By California State Automobile Association
Accenture to Help CSAA Reduce Operating Expenses Through Software Upgrade and Long-Term Application Support and Maintenance
NEW YORK; Aug. 5, 2003 – Accenture has been awarded a 10-year contract to help the California State Automobile Association (CSAA) upgrade its human resources and financial management systems and provide application support and maintenance of these systems on an outsourced basis.
Accenture will team with PeopleSoft® to upgrade CSAA to PeopleSoft 8, a complete Internet solution for both human capital management and financial management. The companies expect the upgrade to be completed in September 2003. CSAA will then outsource the support, maintenance, and hosting of its PeopleSoft 8 system to Accenture for 10 years. The PeopleSoft solutions will provide CSAA’s human resources and finance employees with access to best practices and greater self-service options.
"Accenture’s outsourcing experience and proven track record of PeopleSoft implementations provide the right fit for both the upgrade and the long-term hosting and maintenance agreement," said Paula Downey, CSAA’s senior vice president and chief financial officer. "By teaming with Accenture to deploy efficient, cost-effective technology and processes, we hope to improve service levels and provide added value for our members."
"Leading financial services companies are seeking solutions to help transform their workforces and improve customer service without increasing their administrative costs," said John DelSanto, a partner in Accenture’s Financial Services operating group. "With an updated technology infrastructure and reduced operating costs, CSAA can focus on more critical areas, such as increasing customer satisfaction and enhancing membership benefits."
