Groupe DANONE Selects Accenture to Design, Build and Deploy SAP® Software at More Than 30 Business Units Worldwide

PARIS; March 25, 2002 Groupe DANONE (Euroclear: 12064) today announced a strategic agreement with Accenture (NYSE: ACN) for the worldwide deployment of SAP software. This initiative would take place as part of Groupe DANONE’s Themis program, which is designed to streamline the company’s information systems by improving circulation of information and enhancing the effectiveness of operations (e.g. commercial, supply chain, finance) around the world.

Under the terms of the agreement, Accenture will help Groupe DANONE design, build and deploy a solution at more than 30 business units in North America, Latin America, and Western, Central and Eastern Europe. This solution is built on an Enterprise Resource Planning solution to support Groupe DANONE’s Biscuits, Water and Fresh Dairy Products business units.

The agreement is the next step in a history of collaboration between Groupe DANONE and Accenture. Specifically, Accenture has helped Groupe DANONE to design, build and deploy SAP solutions at pilot operating sites in the Czech Republic, Italy, Germany and China.
