Accenture to Incorporate Netegrity’s SiteMinder Security Technology in Web-Based Solutions for Global Clients

WALTHAM, Mass. and NEW YORK; June 17, 2002 Netegrity, Inc. (Nasdaq: NETE), the leading provider of software solutions for securely managing e-business relationships, and Accenture (NYSE: ACN) today announced that Accenture will incorporate Netegrity’s SiteMinder® security technology into Web-enabled solutions that Accenture designs and implements for its large global clients.

“Accenture works with organizations in all major industries around the world to deliver security solutions that maximize long-term opportunities for sustained growth and profitability,” said John Clark, the partner in charge of Accenture’s security technology practice. “The combination of Accenture’s industry knowledge and solutions implementation expertise with Netegrity’s SiteMinder technology will enable us to help our clients rapidly implement powerful Web-based solutions that meet their enterprise-wide information security needs.”

Netegrity’s scalable SiteMinder technology platform enables companies to manage user identity and entitlement information centrally and share this information across all the applications on their Web sites, greatly reducing the cost and complexity of administering these sites. The SiteMinder platform of shared services is managed through a rules-based engine, with parameters defined by system administrators, that enables the delivery of services such as single sign-on, authentication management, entitlement management and auditing.

“We are excited that Accenture, a recognized leader in information security, has chosen to build solutions based on Netegrity’s SiteMinder technology,” said Scott Sullivan, vice president of SI Alliances and Professional Services at Netegrity. “Leveraging Accenture’s security experience and their global reach will enable Netegrity to further broaden its market reach and penetration.”
