Adaytum Teams With Accenture and Government Finance Officers Association to Bring New Financial Planning Solutions to Public Sector
JOINTLY DEVELOPED BUDGETING AND PLANNING SOLUTION RESPONDS TO UNIQUE NEEDS AND CHALLENGES OF STATE/LOCAL GOVERNMENT
MINNEAPOLIS – April 30, 2001 – Adaytum, the leading provider of enterprise business planning (EBP) solutions, today announced separate alliances with Accenture and the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) to create a public-sector version of Adaytum e.Planning, an integrated financial planning solution.
The alliance is the first to provide a Web-based, high-participation budgeting and planning solution designed specifically to respond to the unique requirements of state and local sectors. The target market for the solution includes states, cities, counties, school districts, special districts, and municipal enterprises, including utilities and airports.
The new solution is based on Adaytum’s e.Planning product that is currently used by 22,000 professionals in more than 1,200 organizations worldwide.
Accenture draws upon its vast experience with an in-depth understanding of public-sector processes, rules, regulations, and statutory requirements to design the product’s budget-process flows and requirements for planning, forecasting, and budgeting in public-sector organizations.
GFOA, the premier professional association in state and local government finance, joins the effort in a separate relationship with Adaytum to shape best budgeting practices in state and local government, provide development expertise, and collect input from its government members who are CFOs of leading jurisdictions. In addition, GFOA has committed to working with Adaytum at state and local government pilot sites, evaluating them, and subsequently helping them define a general offering to the state and local government community.
