Accenture and Commerce One Form Alliance to Deliver Global Business-to-Business Portal Solutions

WALNUT CREEK, Calif., and NEW YORK -- February 11, 2000 -- Commerce One, Inc. (NASDAQ: CMRC), the leader in global electronic commerce (eCommerce) solutions for business, and Accenture, a leading global management and technology consulting organization, today announced the formation of a global alliance to help companies leverage the power of buying and selling over the Internet.

Under terms of the alliance, Accenture will make a strategic commitment to establish a dedicated team of professionals focused on e-procurement and marketplace solutions. This team will help Accenture’s clients maximize the benefits of Commerce One’s MarketSite (Portal Solution and Commerce One BuySite) e-procurement applications. Together, Commerce One and Accenture will work to provide business-to-business eCommerce portal services, strategic consulting, and world-class systems integration services for vertical and regional organizations worldwide. In addition, Accenture will become a Global Alliance Partner and a preferred implementation partner of Commerce One’s solutions.
