Blog: Accenture Launches Accenture Media Suite to Help Media Companies Accelerate AI Adoption, Simplify Operations and Unlock Net New Revenue Opportunities
What's New?
- Introduced at IBC in Amsterdam, Accenture Media Suite brings together four connected, agentic AI products, Media Nexus, Media Ops, Media Engage and Media Sales, to reinvent how media and entertainment businesses operate. Built on existing technology stacks, it unifies workflows and can accelerate decisions from days of manual coordination to minutes.
- The suite brings together four connected products: Media Engage, an evolution of Accenture Video Solution into an AI-powered streaming business optimization engine; Media Sales to optimize advertising revenue and marketing spend; Media Ops to unify fragmented broadcast operations across the content lifecycle; and Media Nexus to provide the underlying intelligence layer.
Why Now?
Media and broadcasting companies are navigating a period of significant disruption. Rising cost pressures, industry consolidation and increasingly complex technology environments are forcing organizations to rethink how they operate and monetize content. At the same time, audience behaviour continues to fragment across platforms, formats and experiences. Accenture research found that consumers now select six different media types across common entertainment and engagement scenarios, up from just two in 2022, creating both new growth opportunities and greater complexity for media companies.
Disconnected systems across content, operations and monetization often make it difficult to deliver meaningful business outcomes with AI. Siloed optimization initiatives can add further complexity and cost. Many media companies are also balancing AI ambitions with broader modernization efforts, including cloud transformation programs and technology rationalization initiatives.
To fully realize the value of AI, media organizations need a more connected and standardized foundation that links workflows, data and business processes across the enterprise. This can help them automate manual work using AI, while allowing decisions and actions to be secured and governed consistently across the media supply chain.
Connecting the Media Value Chain
Historically, media organizations have relied on separate technologies to manage audience engagement, advertising, content operations and broadcasting workflows, creating operational complexity and siloed data. But as transactional technology becomes increasingly commoditized, competitive advantage is shifting away from individual features and towards the intelligence layer that can optimize the existing technology stack.
Accenture Media Suite brings together four connected products:
- Media Engage, the evolution of Accenture Video Solution (AVS), helps media companies launch, operate and continuously optimize streaming and direct-to-consumer video experiences at scale, with AI-driven workflows spanning content, commerce, editorial and operations.
- Media Sales, the evolution of Accenture Multimedia Advertising Platform (AMAP), uses agent-to-agent buy and sell processes to reduce the manual coordination involved in multi-channel advertising operations, helping improve monetization across channels and brand satisfaction.
- Media Ops is a new AI-powered content supply chain operations platform and managed service. It reinvents ingest, management and distribution across broadcast, digital and streaming, without replacing the vendors that already operate within the supply chain.
- Media Nexus is the intelligence layer of Accenture Media Suite, combining a media industry ontology, a knowledge graph and Accenture product expertise to help AI agents understand, reason and act across the media value chain. It enables organizations to automate and optimize workflows across content, operations, distribution, monetization and audience engagement.
AI as Part of the Operating Model
Accenture Media Suite uses AI to reduce manual effort, drawing on more than 700 end-to-end media supply chain processes that Accenture has modelled and encoded as agentic workflows. Accenture Media Suite embeds AI directly into media workflows and business processes. AI-powered agents can help support content strategy, streamline operations, improve audience experiences and optimize monetization outcomes, helping organizations move from isolated use cases to AI-enabled operating models that deliver measurable business value.
“Media companies don't need more disconnected tools. They need a foundation that helps them simplify operations, move faster and apply AI where it can have the greatest impact,” said Dan Farrell, Global Lead, Content Supply Chain and Monetization, Communications & Media, Accenture. “Accenture Media Suite brings together our experience across streaming, broadcasting and monetization into a connected platform designed to help clients accelerate innovation, improve performance and unlock new opportunities for growth.”
