John Maguire is the global managing director of sales for the Accenture Health & Public Service operating group. As the lead sales executive, John has overall responsibility for all sales activities and programs in the operating group, and he drives our major and most complex sales pursuits. He also serves as the Technology growth platform global sales lead. 

Most recently, John led sales enablement for the Technology growth platform. He has more than 22 years of experience in business development, consulting, systems integration, marketing and general management. 

John's prior Accenture roles have included leading Accenture’s Public Service Outsourcing sales and the U.S. state and local government client service group. He also led the sales “win” team for Accenture’s US-VISIT program. Before joining Accenture, John spent 18 years with IBM in a variety of roles ranging from services delivery, global marketing and sales in the Public Safety and Justice Division, Director of sales—Federal Services Division and vice president—Global Services’ State and Local business. 

John received a bachelor of arts in political science from Rutgers University in 1982 and a master of business administration from Pennsylvania State University in 1983. He enjoys golf and coaching his four children in basketball, baseball and softball and lives in Ridgefield, Connecticut.
